’Queen (Black)’ depicts twin silhouettes of the Queen, each placed face-to-face and beautifully balanced, one upright and the other upside down. As snipped from the pure black background, Agent X creates the illusion of a cut-out to reveal a Baroque, floral painting underneath. With its bold composition and its juxtaposition of the antique with the contemporary, the artwork is a powerful transference of street to Paper.
